Mobile 1.9.9
The 1410SMS app is on the iPhone
The mobile app is now on the App Store. Staff, pupils and parents on an iPhone get the same app Android users have had, with the same sign-in.
Search for 1410SMS on the App Store, or use the badge below. Until now a school's iPhone users had only the web portal; from today they have the app.
The same app, the same sign-in
It is one app for every school on the platform, so nobody needs a school-specific download. Staff and pupils search for their school by name, and parents sign in once and see every child across every school. The credentials are the ones already used on the web portal, so there is nothing new to set up.
Registers, grades, homework, fees, receipts, report cards and push notifications are all there, as on Android. The mobile app guide covers it screen by screen.
One difference: buying a subscription
Apple requires a digital subscription bought inside an iPhone app to go through its own purchase system. The Subscription screen on an iPhone therefore shows the school's plan and billing history but does not take a payment. An administrator changes or renews the plan from the web portal or the Android app. Fees that families pay to the school are not affected: parents pay invoices from the iPhone app as they do on Android.
Telling your school
The App Store badge now appears on every sign-in page of your school's web portal, under "Get the 1410SMS app", beside Google Play. Parents and staff who reach the portal from an iPhone will find the app from there.
